Importation of prescription drugs by an individual U.S. consumer for personal use is prohibited unless FDA approved. There are exceptions/restrictions: 1. prescription drugs, which are made in the U.S. and then exported, can only be returned to the U.S. manufacturer. 2. Under limited circumstances as defined and allowed by FDA regulations, a small quantity of a prescription drug for personal use might be eligible for import in which case the following minimum information and documentation must be included on the commercial invoice and accompany the shipment: a copy of a valid, written doctor’s prescription; complete name, address and phone number of the U.S. licensed treating physician, name and address of the drug manufacturer; form of medicine (tablets, capsules, liquid, etc.); quantity; type of packaging; type of medical condition being treated; if the medication can be purchased in the U.S.; dosage and strength. Effective August 3, 2007 commercial shipments of live pigs, swine meat and by-products from the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland) are prohibited and will be refused entry and must be destroyed or exported.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife (FWS) issued a Director’s Order announcing it will prohibit the import, export, and sale of elephant ivory, items made of rhinoceros horn, and other products made from protected species listed in the Endangered Species Act (ESA), with a few exceptions. Under this new order, ESA listed species are prohibited without an ESA permit except for those goods that qualify as an antique. Shipments of African elephant ivory, including antiques imported for commercial use are prohibited. In order to qualify as antique, the importer, exporter or seller must provide documentation that the goods are 1 years or older; have not been repaired or modified, were legally imported through an antique port, and were wholly made or containing part of an endgandered species. FWS also required documented proof of the species identification.

Hazardous Materials, hazardous waste, including, but not limited to, used hypodermic needles, syringes or other medical wastes, and biohazards such as blood, urine, fluids and other noninfectious diagnostic specimens

Improperly packaged shipments

Lottery tickets and gambling devices where prohibited by federal/national, provincial, state or local law

Yes. Our total liability for items lost or damaged is half the purchase price of each item up to $150. TOTE TAXI assumes no responsibility or liability for the following items in or as checked baggage: money, negotiable papers, securities, business documents, irreplaceable books, manuscripts, publications, photographic or electronic equipment, computers, computer hardware or software, jewelry, watches, eyeglasses (prescription or non-prescription), silverware, china, precious metals, heirlooms, furs, tobacco products, antiques, artifacts, paintings and other works of art, medicines, human organs, commercial items, cosmetics, samples, or any similar valuable or fragile items.

Additional insurance is available upon request (see below).

$100 extra covers your order for $1,000. Otherwise, please find our standard policy below.

In consideration of the rate charged, it is agreed that the value of this shipment, whether consisting of one or more packages, is not greater than $150.00 and that liability of Tote Taxi for loss or damage in connection with such a shipment is limited to $150.00 — unless a greater value is declared and insurance purchased at the time the order is placed with Tote Taxi. Tote Taxi shall not be liable for loss or damage to any items handled by its employees or contractors beyond $150.00. Tote Taxi shall not be liable for any loss or damage to shipments improperly packed or labeled or for loss or damage caused by the delay. All claims regarding loss or damage of any kind must be submitted to Tote Taxi verbally within 24 hours and in writing by certified mail within 30 days of the pickup or delivery of the shipment in question by Tote Taxi. Claims not made within these time periods shall be deemed waived. Should any claim in the amount in excess of the foregoing limits of liability be asserted against Tote Taxi by a third party for loss or damage to shipments handled hereunder, the shipper agrees to hold Tote Taxi harmless against any such claim irrespective of the cause of such loss or damage, including negligence.

Tipping is not required, but is greatly appreciated by the drivers.

Yes, this service is offered at 395 County Road, 39A. It’s $20/day. Please call or email us to schedule.

II. NYC – HAMPTONS

Our minimum for all deliveries is $250.

If there is a problem we will call / text you directly. Tote Taxi will wait up to 10 minutes to receive the bag. If the delivery is missed you will be charged an additional $20.

Yes. If you are not home, please leave the items in a safe place. Use the instruction form to inform us of pickup/ delivery instructions.

Go ahead and leave it at the front desk – the hotel will give you a claim ticket. Please respond to your confirmation email with a photo of the claim ticket.

Everything is delivered door-to-door. If you need this option, our office is at 395 County Road 39 A, Southampton, NY 11968. Contact us for details. 

Please have the person handing us the bag meet us on the first floor. We will contact you directly when we have arrived at your address.

Yes, please label the bag with the name on the order. We also highly recommend that you number your pieces (example: #3 of 5 pieces). Labels are available upon request.

Tote Taxi can take as many bags as needed/requested by the client. Please inform the messenger of the change-we’ll be able to properly document the delivery request in our system. The card on file will be billed for any additional items.

You must cancel your order 48 hours in advance for a full refund.

Items are picked up in the mornings between 8am-11:30am and delivered before 6pm. When the driver is headed to your pickup/drop-off you will receive tracking information.

As a traditional courier, we can pick up and deliver items for you around the Hamptons.

III. MINI MOVES

A mini-move is a luxurious and worry-free solution for transporting a larger amount of luggage and other small items in a carefree way — to and from your destination in NYC, the Hamptons, and South Florida. Learn more here.

Types of Mini Moves:  

We suggest move types based on the number of individuals in a family along with pieces that need to be moved.

  • Mini Move (Standard): This is our most popular standard Mini Move. It’s ideal for a family of 5- with 15-30 pieces.
  • Petite Move: For smaller amounts of luggage, this move is ideal for a family of 3- with 8-15 pieces.
  • Full Move: Need to move a lot? This move is ideal for a family of 6 plus – with 50-60 pieces.

*mini move packages do not include Peloton

No – a Peloton is $450.

We ask that you please remove the screen from the bike before transport.

There can be additional fees: if you give us more items that originally stated, if your items are not ready for pickup and/or drivers are required to wait more than 30 minutes (on either end) an hourly rate will accrue and be added to the Mini Move.

Yes, please send a sample COI for the building to info@totetaxi.com. It is $50 extra. We need to know when the pickup is scheduled if the building requires a COI.

IV. FLORIDA

We offer delivery for luggage, golf clubs, bikes, small furniture, and more. Contact us for details – pricing depends on how quick you need your items to arrive and the quantity.

We service South Florida – trips from NYC (and airports) to Palm Beach and surrounding areas. Fill out our survey here. 

We have two options: If you want to rent the full van, you have control over when things get picked up and delivered. However, if you’re booking the combined trip, it starts at $2,500 and those trips run once a month when the van is full. It takes 2 days for us to get from NY – FL and vice versa

Deliveries in Amangasett, Montauk, and Shelter Island are an extra $100.

V. AIRPORT – BLADE

You can book here or you can call/email to place the order directly with one of our customer service representatives. 

JFK, LGA, EWR – online booking is from the airports and Manhattan & Brooklyn. For pickup delivery addresses outside of Manhattan and Brooklyn, please fill out our brief survey here.

Cancel 24 hours in advance and receive a full refund. If delivery is canceled due to weather, you will receive credits for your next luggage airport transfer.

Suitcases, boxes, skis, and snowboards – if your item is not listed, please contact us here.

As much as you like – the price is based on how many pieces you need transported.

From the airport to Manhattan – 2-4 hours for standard delivery. From Manhattan to the airport, before your BLADE lands.

When traveling to an airport from Manhattan, you can leave your items with your doorman, your hotel front desk, or hand them directly to the driver.

If you are staying with a hotel and you’re flying to an airport, please leave the luggage with the hotel front desk. The hotel will give you a claim ticket. Please send a photo of the claim ticket on your confirmation email.

Most often, 10am for flights later than 1pm. Please be on the look out for the luggage delivery time in your confirmation email.

Please pickup your luggage from the carousel and hand it to the BLADE Flier Relations Team. One of our drivers will pickup from the FBO and deliver to your final destination.
